Take a trip to flavor town with these adorable cucumber boats! This month our Rad-Kids are cooking up French fun and learning new words such as saute, hors d'oeuvre, and roux. Here's a new one to learn while building your cucumber boats --- bon voyage means "have a nice trip" or "safe journey."
Bon Voyage! Cucumber Boats
Ingredients:
3 Persian cucumbers
1/2 cup hummus
12 cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup feta cheese
basil for garnish
Steps for Rad-Kids:
1. Cut each cucumber into two long halves. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds.
2. Chop tomatoes, cheese and basil into small pieces.
3. Spread hummus in each cucumber half.
4. Top cucumbers with tomatoes, cheese and basil. TASTE & SHARE!
